We are Don Bosco Missions Bangalore-California, a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation registered in 2012. We partner with the Salesian Province of Bangalore to support and represent their development mission for vulnerable children and young people in India’s Karnataka and Kerala states. Since our founding, we have championed marginalized youth, providing basic needs and education to ensure they lead lives of dignity, free from abuse and deprivation.

I have seen how Don Bosco Missions provide life-giving services to the poorest children in Karnataka and Kerala.
I have stayed & worked in a Don Bosco girls’ home in Bangalore for two weeks and attest to the love and care these girls receive, from small children through college. I’ve visited several training centers where youth are trained for employment— both practical and classroom training. I strongly support the Don Bosco Missions in their outstanding work with children and youth who need love, security, stability, education, and the ability to grow into productive members in their communities.
Since 2018, I have been to India eight times. Each trip, my visit includes a visit to a new Don Bosco establishment. I have been to the girls and boys centers, the afterschool programs, the very big school in the Northeast, and many places in between. What impresses me the most in each of these visits is the love, care and commitment that is shown to the children. If only all of the world could be like this!

Human Faces of Our Impact
I am a parishioner at the St. Joseph Basilica in Alameda, California. In 2018 I met several Salesian priests through my pastor who is also from India. My first trip in 2019 opened my eyes to the needs of so many children. I have gone back in 2025 and 2026. I have witnessed meals given out to families in the slums, street children rescued, fed, housed and educated, after school programs in several locations, summer programs for children of all ages. It is a joy and an honor for me to participate in this mission.
