Sports for Change Celebrates First Anniversary and Membership Day

Chullikkara: The first anniversary and Membership Day of Sports for Change, an initiative led by Don Bosco Sports Chullikkara, was celebrated on August 15. The anniversary celebration and Membership Day marked the successful completion of one year of Sports for Change activities.

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, an anti-drug message was delivered at Chullikkara Town. The initiative aimed to spread awareness among children and young people about the importance of building a healthy and drug-free generation. Children also participated in various cultural programmes.

Following this, children from different centres marched towards the Don Bosco Chullikkara Hub, carrying flex banners and flags representing their respective centres. Children from the seven centres under the Chullikkara Hub — Malakkallu, Poodankallu, Odayanchal, Kodoth, Kanjiradukkam, Chullikkara Boys, and Chullikkara Girls — participated in the programme.

During the Membership Day celebration held at the hub, new members were formally enrolled, while existing members renewed their membership. The primary objective of Sports for Change is to develop the talents and abilities of children and young people through sports while working towards creating a drug-free generation.

As part of the celebrations, children from the Don Bosco Chullikkara Centre presented various cultural programmes. Lunch was also provided for the children who had gathered from the different centres.

The programme was jointly organised by Don Bosco Sports Chullikkara and Don Bosco Football Academy.
