The Salesian Province of Bangalore
The Salesian Province of Bangalore, across the states of Karnataka and Kerala in India, works with children and youth, promoting their rights to education and development. The province focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of children on the streets, working children and vulnerable youth. This work is accomplished through street presence, open shelters, childcare institutions and boarding homes.
The rehabilitation of rescued children is facilitated through education and skilling in Don Bosco institutions, which offer care and protection through the Don Bosco pedagogy of reason, spirituality and loving kindness. This mission is facilitated through the Province Mission Office as well as the Development Office – BREADS Bangalore
